Deliver trauma-informed leadership

People working in high-pressure, emotionally demanding environments often prioritise the needs of their employer and clients ahead of their own health and wellbeing. This can contribute to burnout, vicarious trauma and unhealthy behaviours that impact the workplace and clients.

Simon has extensive career experience delivering trauma-informed, therapeutic care as a CEO, senior manager and frontline worker in social sector organisations. He has also informed sector-wide reforms working alongside the government and other agencies.  He delivers practical training at all organisastional levels and consultation on organisational wide therapeutic practice.

About Simon Benjamin

Simon Benjamin works with leaders and organisations to build healthy teams, strengthen decision-making, and navigate complexity with clarity and confidence.

Simon grew an organisation from $3.5M to $7M revenue over five years — opening a new service into an industry and significantly raising the organisation’s profile. He knows what leading through uncertainty and growth actually demands, because he has done it.

He has served on not-for-profit boards as treasurer and chairman, giving him first-hand knowledge of governance, board dynamics, and how good company structure supports strong leadership.

He supports leaders and teams not only to address dysfunction, but to help good teams become more mature, aligned and effective in how they work together.

What our clients say

"Simon is incredibly professional – he is warm and highly relational but also incredibly organised and thorough. He has gone above and beyond for our organisation and my entire team has benefited from the training and practical advice that he has provided."

Luke Galley, Taranaki Manager, Zeal, New Zealand

“Simon has a unique ability ... of being able to diagnose an issue and recommend a way forward, taking into account multiple interdependencies to solve a problem. He does not concentrate on the ‘black and white’; he works around and inside the ‘grey’, which has been a great benefit to me and Anchor.”

Heidi Tucker, CEO, Anchor Community Care

“I fully endorse Simon as a highly experienced trainer who has a wealth of experience and knowledge relevant to the subject of trauma and how it impacts clients and those working with them.”

Neville Evans, General Manager, Temcare
